"Crawl" is a horror film directed by Alexandre Aja ("The Hills Have Eyes", "Piranha 3D") from a screenplay by Michael Rasmussen & Shawn Rasmussen ("The Ward"). Aja also produced the film alongside "Drag Me to Hell" and "Evil Dead" filmmaker Sam Raimi.

The film follows Haley (Kaya Scodelario), a young woman who ignores evacuation orders to search for her missing father (Barry Pepper) when a Category 5 hurricane hits Florida. The two end up trapped in their family home not only by the quickly encroaching floodwaters and the violent storm, but also a pack of large and ravenous alligators.

"Crawl" opened in theaters on July 12, 2019 and received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics.

"When a massive hurricane hits her Florida hometown, Haley (Kaya Scodelario) ignores evacuation orders to search for her missing father (Barry Pepper). Finding him gravely injured in the crawl space of their family home, the two become trapped by quickly encroaching floodwaters. As time runs out to escape the strengthening storm, Haley and her father discover that the rising water level is the least of their fears."
