This week in theaters we have a new adaptation of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express" featuring a star-studded cast. However, the word from Hollywood is that it's not a very good adaptation.

We also have the comedy sequel "Daddy's Home 2", which adds John Lithgow and Mel Gibson to the already perfect chemistry between Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Just don't ask the critics what they thought about the movie, unless you want your holiday cheer ruined.

In limited release you should definitely check out the dark dramedy "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri", which is already starting to pick up awards and is considered a solid Oscar hopeful. And another film worth seeing is the horror actioner "Mayhem" starring Steven Yeun ("The Walking Dead").

Synopses, details, critical reception, trailers, clips and more after the jump.
