Red Thread Games has announced via a Kickstarter update that on March 24th, "Dreamfall Chapters", the episodic sequel to "The Longest Journey" and "Dreamfall: The Longest Journey", will be released on PS4 and Xbox One in an enhanced special edition, and PC gamers will receive an update dubbed "The Final Cut" to coincide with the console release.
The update will include changes to "character art and animations, music, sound-effects, shaders, lighting — and gameplay". Console enhancements and other special features will be announced at a later date. The developers will also release a German language patch and a so-called "benefactors patch" that will feature missing in-game rewards, additions that were promised in September, but ended up being delayed for various reasons mentioned in the announcement.
