"The Legend of Tarzan" is now in theaters and the reviews, so far, have been generally negative. Despite being more ambitious than other Tarzan films, it's nevertheless an equally epic misfire due to an overabundance of CGI, an uneven handling of the serious and campy tones, a generic plot and bad pacing. And if that wasn't enough, there was also the occasional critic screaming "racism" and "sexism".
Directed by David Yates ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"), the film stars Alexander Skarsgard, Margot Robbie, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt and Casper Crump.

Official Synopsis
"It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (SkarsgÄrd) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash."
