This week in theaters we have nothing really worth checking out in wide release. There's the faith-based drama "God's Not Dead 2", a sequel we didn't need to a movie that seems like a better fit for television, and the R-rated comedy "Meet the Blacks", an uninspired spoof of "The Purge". I sure miss the days of really good spoofs. Where is this generation's "Airplane!" or "Blazing Saddles". Hell, even "Scary Movie" got some things right. There's a more interesting movie in limited release, Richard Linklater's "Everybody Wants Some". And, expanding nationwide this week is the awesome drone warfare thriller "Eye in the Sky" starring Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul and Alan Rickman. More about each movie after the jump.
Synopses, details, critical reception, trailers, clips and more after the jump.
