A new clip and ten featurettes for the "Fantastic Four" reboot have been released. The film opens today in theaters, but not without a great deal of grief. It seems that the comic book adaptation directed by Josh Trank ("Chronicle") and starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell is an incredibly bad attempt at rebooting the franchise, and an overall dull movie.
The movie's score on Rottentomatoes.com is a "fantastic" 9% with 11 positive and 103 negative reviews, making it one of the frontrunners for next year's Razzies. Trank has tweeted today that his original version of the film would have gotten much better reviews (below), hinting that this could be another case of a director getting removed from his own movie by the studio, as was the case with David Fincher and "Alien 3". Either way, the harm has been done, and fans will probably end up severely disappointed.
