It's finally here. The first teaser trailer for Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been released and it actually contains some footage from the movie, which is something a first teaser doesn't always provide. In this case, however, Warner Bros. has a lot to prove.
While the footage is indeed short, it teases elements of the plot via voice overs and, more importantly, it teases the titular smackdown between Batman and Superman. Warner has a lot riding on this movie since it will be the startup for the "Justice League" movie and a ton of other DC Comics solo superhero features. Even as we speak, "Wonder Woman" and "Aquaman" are in the works. Will this endeavour become the equivalent of Marvel's superhero franchise ? Time will tell.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Scoot McNairy, Jason Momoa and Holly Hunter. The film opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers."
