Rose Byrne ("Insidious") starred in Matthew Vaughn's "X-Men: First Class" as CIA agent Moira MacTaggert, and now the actress is set to reprise the role in Bryan Singer's upcoming sequel "X-Men: Apocalypse". The character was not a part of "Days of Future Past", but it seems she will play a major role in the new film, according to screenwriter Simon Kinberg:
"She’s a significant character in the movie. We ended First Class with Charles having wiped portions of her memory of her experience with the X-Men. They are, essentially, strangers to her when she meets them… It’s certainly a rich relationship that we started to dig into in First Class, and would like to mine more in this one."Apocalypse will be set in the 1980s and the cast also fetures James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp. "X-Men: Apocalypse" will open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
