Natalie Portman will play the role of Lady Macbeth in the new adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth". The film will be directed by Justin Kurzel ("Snowtown") and written by Todd Louiso & Jacob Koskoff ("The Marc Pease Experience"). Michael Fassbender will star in the lead role. The film has been described as being "a visceral approach to the story" and it will include "significant battle scenes". Production won't begin anytime soon, as financing has yet to be secured, but it will be much easier to find interested investors now that Portman and Fassbender have joined the cast.
