It was not an easy journey for the reboot of "The Crow". A lot of directors and actors joined, then dropped out of the production. But in the last weeks, things have been moving forward at a more decisive pace. With director F. Javier Gutierrez already locked in as the reboot's director, the selection of a lead actor was close behind and for the past weeks the names of actors like Tom Hiddleston ("The Avengers"), Alexander Skarsgard ("True Blood") and James McAvoy ("X-Men: First Class") were fed to the rumor mill. It turned out that none of them were chosen for the lead role. The one who ultimately got the role was the one nobody expected, but was indeed attached at some point to star in the film. Luke Evans, a rising actor who audiences will see in theaters this summer as the villain in the upcoming "Fast & Furious 6", is the new Eric Draven. Production is expected to begin early next year unless some other unexpected events occur. I'm honestly not a big fan of this reboot, because I don't think there was need for a reboot. But, Evans is a good choice and will probably do a good job if the writers give him something solid to work with. The British actor has so far starred in several major Hollywood productions including "Immortals", "Clash of the Titans", "The Raven" and "The Three Musketeers ".
