A new clip and the first official poster for Paul Feig's action comedy "The Heat" have been released. The film stars Sandra Bullock as an uptight FBI agent who must team up with a loud-mouthed cop, played by Melissa McCarthy, against a ruthless drug lord. In this clip we see Bullock and McCarthy do the "Good Cop, Bad Cop" routine. Well, sort of. I've seen this routine done in countless comedies, and I'm still amazed that they can find new ways to milk this concept for comedy. The poster is the first official poster for the film and it just sets the tone perfectly, despite not being very original. "The Heat" opens on June 28, 2013.
Check out the movie clip and poster after the jump.
Official Synopsis
"Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. From Paul Feig, the director of "Bridesmaids". "
