Gary Oldman has joined the cast of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and he will star as Dreyfus, the leader of a human colony, in this sequel that takes place 15 years after the events in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". Humanity is on the brink of extinction as the apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis) are becoming the dominant species of our planet. The story will mostly focus on the the efforts of a group of scientists in San Francisco who are struggling for survival. Also starring are Jason Clarke ("Zero Dark Thirty") and Kodi Smit-McPhee ("Let Me In"). "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is directed by Matt Reeves ("Cloverfield", "Let Me In") and will be released on May 23, 2014.
