Emma Watson is in talks to star in the lead role of Disney's new version of "Cinderella". The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh ("Thor", "Hamlet") and also stars Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother, Gabrielle Wilde and Alicia Vikander. The new "Cinderella" is part of a revival of Disney animated properties, which includes Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland", Sam Raimi's "Oz the Great and Powerful" and "Maleficent" starring Angelina Jolie. The latter is a "Sleeping Beauty" spin-off. Production on "Cinderella" is expected to begin this fall in London.
