Director Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day"), who is currently promoting his new action film "Olympus has Fallen", has responded to questions regarding the "24" movie during an interview. The director says that the project is not happening anymore and it's been quite a while, about a year probably, since everything was supposed to move forward. Fuqua was previously attached to direct the film as soon as Kiefer Sutherland was available, but things seem to have stalled and considering the show ended in 2010, the momentum for the big screen project is pretty much gone. Sutherland is currently filming on the TV series "Touch" and Fox has not announced a replacement director for Fuqua.

"Yeah, that’s not happening. I don’t think it’s gonna happen at all, definitely not with me. I met with Kiefer [Sutherland], Fox wanted to do it, it was a matter of his schedule before he went off to do his new show [Touch]. I don’t think he was able to get a proper agreement with Fox. The time just passed, and I went off to go to what I was doing."
