We have some new posters that have just been released for four films. You can check out the posters and official synopses after the jump. Here is a short description of the films:
- "Olympus has Fallen" is one of two "White House under attack movies" coming out this year. This one is directed by Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day") and stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman. The film opens on March 22.
- "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" is the sequel to the 2009 blockbuster hit based on the Hasbro toy series. The sequel stars Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Adrianne Palicki, RZA and Channing Tatum. The movie has been delayed almost a year and is finally coming out on March 29.
- "The Croods" is a 3D animated film from the creators of "Madagascar" featuring the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Nicolas Cage and Emma Stone. Opening day is March 22.
- "Snowpiercer" is a dark post-apocalyptic story from director Bong Joon-ho ("The Host", "Mother") featuring an all-star cast: Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, John Hurt and Ed Harris. No release date has been set yet.
OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN
When the White House (Secret Service Code: “Olympus”) is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning’s inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President, and avert an even bigger disaster.
G.I. JOE: RETALIATION
A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe(R) characters.
THE CROODS
The Croods is a prehistoric comedy adventure that follows the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures — and their outlook is changed forever.
SNOWPIERCER
Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
