Conan the Barbarian (1982)


Synopsis:  Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in the original action-packed epic adventure Conan the Barbarian. Following his parents’ savage murder young Conan (Schwarzenegger) is captured by the cold-blooded Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) and spends the next fifteen years in agony first chained to the Wheel of Pain and then enslaved as a Pit Fighter. Rather than allowing this brutal fate to conquer him Conan builds an incomparable body and an indomitable spirit—both of which he needs when he suddenly finds himself a free man. Aided by his companions Subotai the Mongol (Gerry Lopez) and Valeria Queen of Thieves (Sandahl Bergman) Conan sets out to solve the “riddle of steel ” seize ultimate power and finally take revenge on the warlord who killed his family.

Conan the Destroyer (1984)

Synopsis:  Arnold Schwarzenegger returns with a vengeance in the sword and sorcery adventure Conan the Destroyer. The powerful hero Conan (Schwarzenegger) has been commissioned by evil Queen Taramis (Sarah Douglas) to safely escort a teen princess (Olivia D’Abo) and her bodyguard (Wilt Chamberlain) to the magic Horn of Dagon. Conan soon discovers however that the queen plans to sacrifice the princess when she returns and inherit her kingdom. Now he and an unusual group of allies—including the eccentric wizard Akiro (Mako) and the wild woman Zula (Grace Jones)—must defeat both mortal and supernatural foes in an epic sword-wielding battle with the fate of the entire world at stake.

The Name of the Rose (1986)

Synopsis:  1327: after a mysterious death in a Benedictine Abbey, the monks are convinced that the apocalypse is coming. With the Abbey to play host to a council on the Franciscan's Order's belief that the Church should rid itself of wealth, William of Baskerville, a respected Franciscan monk, is asked to assist in determining the cause of the untimely death. Alas, more deaths occur as the investigation draws closer to uncovering the secret the Abbey wants hidden, and there is finally no stopping the Holy Inquisition from taking an active hand in the process. William and his young novice must race against time to prove the innocence of the unjustly accused and avoid the wrath of Holy Inquisitor Bernardo Gui.

The Magnificent Seven (1960)

Copycat (1995)

Synopsis:  Criminal profiler and psychologist Dr Helen Hudson (Sigourney Weaver) becomes entangled in the deadly mind game of a vicious copycat serial killer Peter Foley. Due to the horrific attack Helen suffered in her past as an agoraphobic she is confined to her apartment. The killer uses this against her in his murderous attempts to become a famous serial killer. Detectives M.J. Monahan (Holly Hunter) and Reuben Goetz (Dermot Mulroney) have the challenge of trying to capture the killer before he kills again and uses his chance to commit another atrocious murder.
