New on DVD & Blu-Ray : THE ADJUSTEMENT BUREAU (2011)

Loosely based on the Phillip K. Dick short story "Adjustement Team", the movie is an interesting mix between against-all-odds love story and dystopian sci-fi with a slick retro feel. Matt Damon and Emily Blunt star as the lovers who defy the laws of the universe in order to fulfill their romance, which is threatened by mysterious forces that seem to enforce the predetermination of our fates. The whole idea of going against fate is pretty neat, the actors do a great job, but at times you'll feel like there's too much running around for nothing. Ultimately, despite the attractive premise, the execution is not as daring as it could have been. It's still a good film, but renting it might be the better idea.

DVD Special Features :
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes
  • "Leaping Through New York" Featurette
  • "Destined to Be - The Adjustement Bureau"
  • "Becoming Elise"
  • Feature Commentary with Writer and Director George Nolfi

Blu-Ray Special Features :
  • [same as the DVD]
  • "The Labyrinth Doors: Interactive Map of New York" - Interactive Content
