Timothy Olyphant Joins THE MANDALORIAN Season 2

Timothy Olyphant Joins THE MANDALORIAN Season 2
"Justified" actor Timothy Olyphant has joined the cast of season two of the Disney+ "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian". There is no official information at this point whether he will play a new character or a returning favorite. It has been reported that he will don Boba Fett's trademark Mandalorian armor, but won’t actually play the iconic character. Instead, there are rumors he is actually playing the character of Cobb Vanth, from the extended universe in the "Aftermath" novel series by Chuck Wendig.

Filming on the show's second season has already been completed in extreme secrecy, however there have already been several leaks regarding the cast. Rosario Dawson is on board as Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's padawan from the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars". Temuera Morrison will play fan favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett. Katee Sackhoff will appear as Mandalorian terrorist-turned-leader Bo-Katan Kryze, a character introduced in "Rebels", and "Terminator" star Michael Biehn will also be involved in the new seaosn.

"The Mandalorian" Season 2 episodes are directed by Robert Rodriguez ("Alita: Battle Angel"), Peyton Reed ("Ant-Man"), "Clone Wars" co-creator Dave Filloni, and show creator Jon Favreau. The new season is set to premiere in October on Disney+.
