Clive Owen Joins Julianne Moore in Apple Drama LISEY'S STORY From Stephen King and J.J. Abrams

Clive Owen Joins Julianne Moore in Apple Drama LISEY'S STORY From Stephen King and J.J. Abrams
"Closer" and "Children of Men" star Clive Owen has signed on to star in Apple's upcoming limited series "Lisey's Story" based on Stephen King's best-selling 2006 novel. The straight-to-series order was handed out in April.

The story follows Lisey (Julianne Moore) two years following the death of her husband. A series of events causes her to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten. Owen will star as Lisey's husband, Scott Landon.

The eight-episode series will be executive produced by King, Moore and J.J. Abrams. King will also write every episode. This is Abrams' third project for Apple following straight-to-series orders for "Little Voice" with Sara Bareilles, and "My Glory Was I Had Such Friends", which stars Jennifer Garner.

Owen can also be seen in the sci-fi thriller "Gemini Man" opposite Will Smith. The film opened in theaters this weekend. The actor is a Golden Globe winner for his performance in Mike Nichols' "Closer", and was also nonimated for his roles in Cinemax's "The Knick", and the HBO biopic "Hemingway & Gellhorn".
