The second season of the dramedy series "Succession" has premiered on August 11, 2019 on HBO. Created by "Four Lions" scribe Jesse Armstrong, the series follows the lives of members of the Roy family, who control one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world, as they contemplate what the future will hold for them once their aging father begins to step back from the company.

The cast features Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, Hiam Abbass and Peter Friedman. The series is nominated for five Emmy awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. Culkin received a Golden Globe nominations for Supporting Actor.

"SUCCESSION returns for its second season Sunday, August 11 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, exclusively on HBO.

Created by Oscar® and WGA nominee Jesse Armstrong (“In the Loop”), with the pilot written by Armstrong and directed by Oscar® winner Adam McKay (“The Big Short”), SUCCESSION launched its ten-episode first season in 2018. Beginning where season one dramatically left off, season two follows the Roy family as they struggle to retain control of their empire, and while the future looks increasingly uncertain, it is the past that threatens to ultimately destroy them.
