The dramedy "Please Stand By" stars Dakota Fanning as a young autistic woman who runs away from her caregiver in order to deliver her 500-page "Star Trek" script to a writing competition in Hollywood.

Directed by Ben Lewin ("The Sessions") from a script by Michael Golamco based on his own play, the film also stars Toni Collette, Alice Eve, Patton Oswalt, Michael Stahl-David, Marla Gibbs and Jessica Rothe.

"Please Stand By" was released in select theaters on January 26, 2018, but also on demand via YouTube, Amazon and iTunes. The film received mixed reviews from critics.
