"Blue Planet II" is a nature documentary miniseries and a sequel to 2001's "The Blue Planet". The series focuses on the rare and unusual creatures of the deep, as well as the problems our oceans face. The documentary was filmed over four years and features narration by David Attenborough. The original score for the documentary was composed by Hans Zimmer, including a collaboration with Radiohead.

"Blue Planet II" premiered on October 29, 2017 via simulcast on BBC One, BBC One HD and BBC Earth channels. In the U.S. it premieres tonight, January 20, 2018, at 9 PM on BBC America, AMC, IFC, Sundance and WE tv. The next episodes will air Saturdays on BBC America.
