"Atomic Blonde" is an action thriller directed by "John Wick" co-helmer David Leitch. Leitch will also direct the upcoming comic book sequel "Deadpool 2".

The film is based on the 2012 graphic novel "The Coldest City", and the story is set in 1989, on the eve of the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Charlize Theron stars as Lorraine Broughton, an undercover MI6 agent who is sent to Berlin to investigate the murder of a fellow agent and recover a missing list of double agents.

The cast also includes James McAvoy, Sofia Boutella, John Goodman, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan and Til Schweiger.

"Atomic Blonde" had its world premiere at South by Southwest in March, 2017 and was released in theaters on July 28th. It received generally positive reviews, with most of the praise directed at Theron's badass performance and the film's incredible action sequences.

"A high-stakes, global action-thriller that takes place in the city of Berlin, on the eve of the Wall's collapse and the shifting of superpower alliances. Charlize Theron ("Mad Max: Fury Road") portrays Lorraine Broughton, a top-level spy for MI6, who is dispatched to Berlin to take down a ruthless espionage ring that has just killed an undercover agent for reasons unknown.
