THE ACCOUNTANT
Official Synopsis
Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. "The Accountant" is a complete mess, but one that can prove to be a decent diversion if you're not too demanding with your action flicks. While the narrative is driven into unnecessary overload by a convoluted plot and it fails to live up to its offbeat premise and high ambitions, it still provides enough action and a solid performance from Ben Affleck.

"Max Steel", Mattel's first attempt at creating a live-action feature film based on their toys, is a failure on all levels, from the cliched and thin story to the lack of adequate blockbuster spectacle. It's the first and last entry in a franchise that just wasn't meant to be.

"Desierto" is one of those rare though-provoking thrillers. Unfortunately, whatever themes it's trying to convey are lost on a thin plot and characters, ultimately exposing it as nothing but a generic thriller wrapped in a political packaging.
