This week in theaters we have some really good movies. Ridley Scott hits cinematic gold with the sci-fi survival story "The Martian" starring Matt Damon, French-Canadian director Denis Villeneuve returns with "Sicario", another critically acclaimed and very intense thriller, and Robert Zemeckis brings his 3D biopic "The Walk" for a limited run in theaters before expanding nationwide next week. An interesting (as in "so weird it could be fun") movie is the Japanese manga adaptation "Attack on Titan: Part 1", which is now available in limited release.

Synopses, details, critical reception, trailers, clips and more after the jump.
