Box-Office: HITMAN AGENT 47, SINISTER 2 and AMERICAN ULTRA Flopped

It wasn't a good week overall for the box-office, even though Universal has reason to celebrate as their hip-hop biopic "Straight Outta Compton" once again topped the charts. However, all of the week's new wide releases flopped.

Find out more about the weekend box office after the jump.

"Straight Outta Compton" is still leading the box-office with a weekend gross of $26.7 million, bringing Universal's biopic to a solid $111.4 million domestic total. In second place, "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" continues its hold with $11.7 million over the weekend. The action film has now grossed $438 million worldwide.

The rest of the box-office doesn't look that good, however, with all new wide releases falling below their initial projections.

"Hitman: Agent 47" opened in fourth place with $8.2 million, much lower than the first "Hitman" film which registered a $13.1 million debut in 2007. The film cost $35 million to produce.

The Blumhouse horror sequel "Sinister 2" opened in third place with $10.6 million, although it was expected to take in at least $15 million in its first three days. The film has the benefit of a low production cost ($10 million), however most Jason Blum produced films usually enjoy a better profit ratio.

And, finally, the action comedy "American Ultra" starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart provided the worst debut of the week, ranking sixth with $5.5 million, However, the film only cost $12 million to produce, so at the very least, they should be able to break even.

New Wide Releases: "Hitman: Agent 47", "Sinister 2", "American Ultra".

Biggest Drop : "Straight Outta Compton" (-55.5%)

Smallest Drop : "Ant-Man" (25.6%)
