"Insidious: Chapter 3" opens today in theaters, so here are 3 new clips and a making of featurette. Franchise writer Leigh Whannell ("Saw") makes his directorial debut with this new installment which is actually a prequel to James Wan's "Insidious" films and it focuses on psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye). The film has picked up some decent reviews, and even though the general reception is mixed, it's much better than that of the second chapter. Stefanie Scott, Dermot Mulroney, Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell co-star.

Official Synopsis

This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity."
