A new official trailer and five new character posters for the sequel "300: Rise of an Empire" have been released. The new film, directed by Noam Murro, is based on Frank Miller's graphic novel "Xerxes". Zack Snyder ("Man of Steel") and Kurt Johnstad wrote the adaptation. The film stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Jack O'Connell and Hans Matheson.

Official Synopsis
"Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.
