Disney has released the first trailer for "Planes", a spin-off of Pixar's "Cars" franchise. Although originally set to be released directly on DVD and Blu-Ray, Disney decided to give the film a theatrical release. Pixar was not involved in the making of "Planes", so this is exclusively a Disney film. Dane Cook has been confirmed as the voice actor for the leading character Dusty Crophopper. The release date has been set for August 9, 2013.

Official Synopsis
"PLANES takes off with an international cast of the fastest air racers around, in a comedy packed with action and adventure starring Dusty, a small town dreamer who longs to enter the most epic around-the-world air race … despite his fear of heights. With the help and support of a fleet of new and hilarious characters, Dusty wings his way into the biggest challenge of his life."
