In Theaters : RED TAILS (2012)

Official Synopsis : 1944. To help win the war, the Pentagon brass has no choice but to consider the untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Just as the young Tuskegee men are about to be shut down and shipped back home, they are given the ultimate chance to show their courage. These intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country - and the fate of the free world.

Genre: War, Action, Drama

Critical Response : Negative. George Lucas' personal project had to wait a long time before it could get made, but it has managed to disappoint and even upset most critics who consider the fact-based war drama to be just a clumsy superficial actioner. While all reviewers agreed that the aerial dogfights are spectacular and the visual effects are magnificent, they also stated that the movie leaves very little room for character developement and fills the moments in-between action scenes with cheesy dialogue and cliches that do no justice to the real Tuskegee airmen's heroism. Rated 33% on Rottentomatoes.com from 18 positive and 36 negative reviews (Average Score : 5.2 out of 10).
