Mallory Kane is a highly trained operative who works for a government security contractor in the dirtiest, most dangerous corners of the world. Suddenly the target of skilled assassins who know her every move, Mallory must find the truth in order to stay alive.
Genre: Action, Thriller
Critical Response : Positive. Although nobody thinks this is a reinvention of the genre, a majority of reviewers see "Haywire" as a well-crafted, explosive spy thriller that polishes the old tired formula, gives it a slick new look and creates a new action star in the process, MMA fighter Gina Carano, whose performance on-screen (particularly during the fight scenes) will probably earn her more similar big screen gigs (Lara Croft anyone ?). It won't win any awards, but it's solid escapist entertainment. Soderbergh can now successfuly add "action-thriller" to his already impressive resume. Rated 82% on Rottentomatoes.com from 98 positive and 21 negative reviews (Average Score : 6.8 out of 10).
