Genre: Drama, Biography
What to Expect : A Clint Eastwood history lesson following in the footsteps of "Changeling", "Flags of Our Fathers", "Letters From Iwo Jima" and "Invictus". If that doesn't convince you to watch it, maybe the flawless performance of Leonardo DiCaprio will.
Critical Response : Mixed to negative. While most critics found the movie's art direction and DiCaprio's virtuoso performance to be among the stronger aspects of the movie, they had several issues with Eastwood's handling of the story and Black's script. Opinions varied wildly, with some critics talking about an underdeveloped and boring movie. Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times, however, gave the movie 3,5 out of 4 stars and called it, among others, a "fascinating" and "masterful" biopic. Rated 42% on Rottentomatoes.com from 49 positive and 69 negative reviews.
