What to Expect : Remember that 1995 movie, "Outbreak", starring Dustin Hoffman and Rene Russo ? Well, this one's just like that, only a lot more stylish, more realistic and more focused on the social effects of a deadly virus at large in the modern world. It also has a stellar cast. For that reason alone it's worth seeing this movie.

Critical Response : Positive. The critics applauded Soderbergh's efforts of crafting a realistic and immersive apocalypse movie. Emotional and frightening at the same time, "Contagion" was praised for its efficient handling of the plot and its tense atmosphere. Obviously, the cast also received top marks from reviewers. Rated 81% on Rottentomatoes.com from 79 positive and 19 negative reviews.
