What to Expect : A slick thriller with a dense plot and a whole lot of good ideas packed into a thrill-ride that could have easily fallen into cheesy oblivion. Bradley Cooper makes for a convincing lead and carries much of the movie on his shoulders. There's plenty of room here for some lessons about power and the price tag that comes attached to it, but, thankfully, director Neil Burger is more interested in crafting a thrilling movie rather than a morality tale. Definitely worth seeing, but if you don't much care for the gimmicky concept that lies at the core of this story, or don't particularly like Bradley Cooper, consider renting it. Also, don't expect the Unrated cut to be a whole lot better than the regular version. It's mostly just small changes that would have qualified the movie for an R rating, instead of the PG-13 it eventually received.
