News Articles :

  • COMMANDO Reboot Script Completed - The latest trend to hit Hollywood strikes again. Reboots ! This time it's an Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie from 1990. Why don't they just think up a fresh idea instead. I mean "Commando" wasn't exactly rocket science.
  • Evangeline Lilly Joins THE HOBBIT Cast - Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" is moving along nicely, adding cast members every other week. The latest addition is Evangeline Lilly, famous for playing Kate in J.J. Abrams' "Lost"
  • INDEPENDENCE DAY and STARGATE Sequels, Dean Devlin Interview - They "won't go quietly into the night". "Independence Day" is one of my guilty pleasures from the 90s. "Stargate" too. It seems they're serious about the sequels, they just have to find the right timing to actually make them
  • WATCHMEN Writer Joins THE CROW Reboot - Hell, if they're rebooting "Commando", why not "The Crow" too ? But Bradley Cooper as Eric Draven ? What do you think, will it work ? That's a lot of questions for just one reboot, no ?

New Trailers and Featurettes

  • TRANSFORMERS 3 (2011) - 6 New TV Spots - As the release date fastly approaches, the publicity campaign amps up. Here are the latest TV Spots for Michael Bay's robot showdown. Yeah, there's humans in it too, but really, who cares ?
  • PUSS IN BOOTS (2011) - Trailer - Since the green ogre isn't exactly doing that well these days, they decided to do a spin-off instead of a fifth "Shrek" movie. There's promise here. Then again, that's been said so many times...
  • CAPTAIN AMERICA (2011) - 'Behind the Shield' Featurette - Everything you need to know about Captain America's nifty Shield, if you really dig all that fanboy stuff, and even more about how it fits into the movie. Lots of footage from the movie and annoying Norton Antivirus product placement
  • TRANSFORMERS 3 (2011) - 3 New TV Spots - A couple of extra TV Spots with some new footage.
  • FOOTLOOSE (2011) - Trailer - Yes, it's another remake. This time from the 1984 rock'n'roll classic "Footloose" starring Kevin Bacon. Directed by Craig Brewer ("Black Snake Moan", "Hustle & Flow").
  • RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2011) - UK Trailer - You've probably already seen the big trailer for this prequel, but the UK version has some new footage and extra plot details. Worth a look.
  • A DANGEROUS METHOD (2011) - Trailer - If you've been eagerly awaiting a new movie from David Cronenberg, here it is. I suppose it was only a matter of time before the director of "The Fly", "A History of Violence", "Spider" and "Videodrome" took an interest in psychoanalysis. Starring Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley.
  • CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (2011) - Second Trailer and Posters - A new trailer for Marvel's superhero movie. Director Joe Johnston spares no expense, but I'm still on the fence about whether or not this movie can work. I feel like this is one concept that works better in the comics, but Marvel is trying to put together a huge franchise of superhero movies, like "Thor" and "Iron Man", that will eventually lead to the "Justice League" movie, so I guess they had to try.
  • REAL STEEL (2011) - Japan Teaser Trailer - Don't worry, it's not in japanese. Just the subtitles. Contains a lot of new scenes that the US trailer didn't show. The Disney feel-good story is still there, though. A gritty movie for kids, that's gotta be a first. Thank you, Disney.
  • KILLER ELITE (2011) - New Movie Trailer - Jason Statham kicks ass, Robert de Niro gets a paycheck. Hope it's better than "The Mechanic". Title sounds like a straight-to-video flick.
  • APOLLO 18 (2011) - New Movie Trailer - Yes, they found another tape. This time regarding a ficticious flight to the moon, that goes terribly wrong. No Tom Hanks in this one, though.
  • BUCKY LARSON: BORN TO BE A STAR - New Movie Trailer - Adam Sandler produced comedies are even more weird than the ones he actually stars in. This one looks downright scary. Reminds me of "Deuce Bigalow" and not in a good way. At least Rob Schneider was sort of funny.
  • COWBOYS & ALIENS (2011) - New Movie Trailer (#3) - More action, more aliens, more frowning Daniel Craig. Big loud explosions and crafty CGI. I suppose it's enough to sell this movie on a hot summer day. If Jon Favreau ("Iron Man") pulls this one off, I will respect the man 'till the day I die.

New Movie Clips

  • ZOOKEEPER (2011) - Five New Movie Clips - It's an Adam Sandler produced movie, what do you expect ? It's kind of funny though, and Kevin James keeps at it, playing the same clumsy character over and over (and over) again. Five new clips that will provide the needed insight into what kind of movie this is.
  • HORRIBLE BOSSES (2011) - Six New Movie Clips - There's a mean streak to the movie that I find sort of appealing. Reminds me of the 1980 movie "Nine to Five", starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton as three employees who work up a plan to teach their sexist boss a lesson. "Horrible Bosses" is rated R, though.
