Nicolas Cage has achieved a sort of infamy with his career choices lately. Only this year he's managed to bag two B-style flicks. One is a gory mess, full of outrageous distractions,"Drive Angry 3D" (read the review here), the other is the much less entertaining "Season of the Witch" (again, read the review here). A shallow rehash of all the good vs. evil stories ever commited to celluloid (particularly "The Exorcist" ), this tale of knights and witches directed by Dominic Sena ("Swordfish", "Gone in 60 Seconds") makes no efforts to weave any kind of clever plot or intricate set pieces. It's boring, incredibly cheesy and not particularly scary. Proceed at your own risk. Read on to find out more.
