What to Expect : Colorful, hilarious and thrilling animation feature, sequel to the 2008 hit (nominated for the Oscar). Don't expect it to be as fresh as the original, but there's still plenty of fun to be had. If you've seen the first one and liked it, you can trust this one to be just as good.

Joyous celebration for all the positive reviews.
Critical Response : Critics really enjoyed this one and some were even surprised by it. Despite being a sequel which most of the time means it's just more of the same, everyone seemed to agree that it's great fun. Lisa Kennedy of the Denver Post mentioned the movie's "thrilling, beguiling, vivid" visuals and Chris Hewitt of St Paul Pioneer Press says that the movie springs new wonders on the screen "even up tot the final seconds". Kyle Smith of the New York Post had mixed feelings towards the movie, but said that it redeems itself with "a terrific third act". Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal had nothing but positive things to say : "Hardly a scene goes by that isn't visually striking or kinetically thrilling". The more negative reviews, like Frank Swietek's at One Guy's Opinion argued that the movie is "ravishing to look at, but its by-the-numbers story isn't enough to keep even a toddler occupied". "Kung Fu Panda 2" is 78% fresh at Rottentomatoes.com, with 67 positive reviews and 19 negative ones.
