"Fright Night" is a remake of the 1985 teenage comedy horror, starring Chris Sarandon as the next door vampire neighbour that Colin Farrell is now playing. The remake also stars Anton Yelchin and Toni Collette. The latter previously worked with director Craig Gillespie on the TV series "United States of Tara", which landed the Australian actress a Golden Globe. The new movie is slick and contains more elaborate set pieces, but I'm afraid the original had the low-budget charm working in its favor. Still, Farrell's adequately creepy and could make a fine villain.
