The Razzies choose 2010s Worst of the Worst

Once a role-model for smart scary movies, M. Night Shyamalan has slipped down a dark road. After being nominated for Best Director and Best Writer at the Academy Awards 10 years ago, for "The Sixth Sense", Shyamalan has finally achieved some recognition, though not the kind he was expecting back then. His latest movie "The Last Airbender" won big at last night's Razzies. Scoring 5 trophies, including Worst Picture and Worst Director, the "Bender" had some fierce competition from "Sex and the City 2", who earned 3 awards. Jessica Alba also won in the Supporting Actress category. It would have been a miracle if she lost, considering her nomination included every one of the 4 movies she made in 2010. To read the full list of winners of the infamous awards click below:

  • Worst Picture: "The Last Airbender" (No contest)
  • Worst Director: M. Night Shyamalan, "The Last Airbender" (Again, no contest)
  • Worst Actor: Ashton Kutcher, "Killers" and "Valentine's Day" (They really must hate Kutcher if they laid off the Twilight franchise on this one)
  • Worst Actress: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, "Sex and the City 2" ( I feel they've been kind of hard on "SATC2", I mean sure, the movie is shallow and sort of obnoxious, but the four actresses were OK, all things considered. This category win is a little iffy.)
  • Worst Supporting Actor: Jackson Rathbone, "The Last Airbender" and "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"
  • Worst Supporting Actress: Jessica Alba, "The Killer Inside Me," "Little Fockers," "Machete" and "Valentine's Day" (Inevitable !)
  • Worst Screen Couple of Ensemble: "Sex and the City 2" (Honestly, Twilight Eclipse should have probably won this one, but I guess "SATC2" just pissed them off more)
  • Worst Screenplay: M. Night Shyamalan, "The Last Airbender"
  • Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel: "Sex and the City 2" (I think, maybe, I just hate Eclipse more)
  • Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3D: "The Last Airbender" (I thought "Clash of the titans" was a sure win, but I guess they really wanted to rip Shyamalan a new one)
